The recent price swings in commodity prices has presented some opportunities for pricing both old and new crop grain. Target orders have been a great way to capture these opportunities without the concren of constantly watching the numbers on a screen. It is done for you. It is not too early to start planning for 2012 and beyond. Be sure to update your production costs to current numbers. You need to be prepared to take advantage of any pricing opportunity as soon as you are able. Give us a call to discuss your objectives and get targets in place.

What is a target contract? Target Contracts can be used to price forward contracts or to sell grain from storage, and are designed to take the emotion out of your selling decisions. Simply specify your target price, delivery period, how many bushels you want to sell at that price, and duration of the contract (i.e. "good till canceled", etc). Once placed, your target order is active during both the day and overnight market sessions. There is no charge to establish target contracts, you can have multiple target orders working for you at the same time, and you can modify the target level any time before the target is achieved. Please give us a call today to get your targets working for you!
